Asia Trading Center is an Indonesian company specialised in services related to importing, sourcing and developing a wide range of products.
Our head office is in Ubud on the island of Bali in Indonesia, but our agents work on your behalf throughout Southeast Asia.
The main manager of the company is an Indonesian MRS Widya ASTUTIK, working whis a french man Mr Michael DENISSOT who has been working with Indonesian people since 1990, and has perfect knowledge of the language and the country.
Our agents travel around the world to meet you and help you decide on the best possible options for your orders. Of course, we can also talk to you by Internet, videoconference or telephone: we use all the communication technologies available in order to achieve the levels of efficiency and responsiveness that you expect from us.
Our company was created specifically for clients like you – professionals and importers – who want to buy, source and manufacture quality products by working with staff like ours, who have the speed and professionalism of a team that already has a solid grasp of the workings of the import–export trade.
Over the years, we have perfected packaging and container-loading techniques that help to significantly reduce the risk of impacts and damp, and optimise the amount of goods that can be transported.
We work with some 150 craftspeople, respect fair trade practices and ensure that no children under the age of 14 work on our behalf.

PACKAGING AND LOADING
Should clients require, we pack furniture and other items in stiff, double-sided cardboard only. We do not use (or very rarely use) single-sided corrugated cardboard, as we aim to reduce humidity problems, to protect goods during loading and unloading of containers and – above all – to optimise container filling.
Before being placed in the boxes, the items are wrapped in kraft paper. (We no longer use the newspaper that our craftspeople use for packaging, due to the humidity released by the ink).
Each box also contains desiccant (sachets of silica gel).
Furniture is also packed in double-sided cardboard and, depending on the option chosen, we make the most of the space available by packing items in drawers and empty spaces. Sachets of desiccant (silica gel) are also placed in drawers and boxes.
Each box is numbered and listed.
Your containers are prepared with care. We cover the sides and top with sheets of double-sided cardboard that prevent damp in the container (due to the very large difference in the temperature during the day compared to at night) from affecting the goods, and create a smooth surface that allows the boxes to be moved more easily. As we are loading, we also place desiccant (sachets of silica gel; 1 kg /10 m3) inside the containers. (We prefer to use this technique rather than super dry, which often ends up on the floor, causing the water absorbed to run along the bottom of the container.)
